Joining the AA-X Product & Design function as the Head of Product, you’ll report directly to the Chief Product Officer and be a key member of the Product & Design leadership team. You’ll lead a small group of Product Owners and BA’s, inspiring and developing talent in order to ensure excellence in everything we do.
As our Head of Product, you will have responsibility for a portfolio of early stage products, developing product strategies & working closely with the wider AA-X leadership team to ensure these align to the overall vision for each venture. You will connect strategy with execution through cross functional leadership & collaboration - developing product roadmaps, communicating these across AA-X and executing in order to rapidly achieve product market fit.
What will I be doing?
Within your day to day role you will enjoy a mix of hands on activity together with cross functional leadership & the development of a highly effective product team. This will involve:
- Working closely with the AA-X extended leadership team to develop and articulate clear customer centric product visions which support the overall business strategy and commercial goals
- Play a leading role in defining ambitious product strategies which support the relevant vision for each venture, taking products from 0-1
- Executing your product strategies to rapidly achieve product market fit via continuous prioritization and roadmapping – clearly communicated to ensure cross functional alignment
- Setting, driving and reporting on overall product OKR’s in collaboration with the product managers. Including the tracking of clear metrics to manage performance
- Enabling the product team to effectively synthesise intelligence from a wide range of sources, and use this for evidence based decision making and prioritisation
- Driving an innovative and collaborative culture between engineers, designers and product managers to ensure we develop the best products at pace
- Promoting collaboration and embedding effective cross functional team work through effective communication & transparency
- Ensuring excellence in the product team – supporting career growth through coaching, mentoring and training
What do I need?
We think you’ll be a great fit if you…
- Have extensive product experience working within a fast-moving environment where you have had to build products from the ground up (i.e., startup, growth company, corporate ventures business)
- Can demonstrate significant experience building, inspiring and leading a high performing product function within a challenging environment – including working with design, engineering, marketing
- Are passionate about building best in class customer centric products and are excited about the opportunity to create new experiences to make driving easier
- Are both commercially aware and customer centric, with an ability to define and execute product strategies which demonstrate a profound impact on business results
- Able to demonstrate thought leadership in innovation / product strategies to build best in class human centric products.
- Are an exceptional collaborator who enjoys building strong cross functional relationships
- Enjoy leading a team as well as being hands on. Equally comfortable at developing product strategies, through to the nitty gritty of day to day product delivery
- Feel at home in a rapidly changing & complex environment – able to use your experience to guide a team in this environment, creating simplicity from complexity
- Can demonstrate how you continually push boundaries to deliver exceptional human centric products at pace, whilst also delivering business results
- Have extensive experience in the pragmatic application of agile development methodologies
- Are a brilliant story teller – able to inspire others around you with the work from your team
- Are a growth mindset role model who cultivates a culture of learning and mentorship
