Reporting to the HR Manager, this is an exciting time to join a growing business where no two days are the same. The HR Advisor will support an end-to-end HR service, working with the HR Manager to ensure all managers and employees are equipped with best practice guidance, alongside this, you will also have the opportunity to be involved in a number of key people projects. The role is primarily based in Manchester and occasional travel to other STS sites may be required. Hybrid working of 1 -2 days per week being worked remotely is available.
Duties & Responsibilities
- Act as an advocate of HR, promoting HR interventions and building the reputation and professionalism of the department
- Provide day to day guidance to managers and employees on HR policies and procedures
- Support the HR manager with absence, disciplinary and grievance cases as required
- Support the recruitment processes, which includes reviewing job descriptions, preparing interview questions and supporting the decision maker
- Delivery of induction sessions as required
- Support managers with advice and guidance to support development of people management skills and knowledge
- Support employee engagement activities
- Assist the wider HR team with the production of key data metrics and analysis
- Undertake administrative tasks such as contract production and systems data maintenance activities
Skills and Experience
- At least 3 years generalist HR experience
- Previous recruitment experience is essential for this role
- Excellent communication skills
- Ability to work effectively as part of a team
- Excellent organisational skills and ability to adapt to change
- CIPD qualification is highly desirable but not essential
- Experience of working within an airport, aviation production or maintenance environment is preferred but not essential
- Full Driving licence
- The role will require the individual to obtain airside passes for various airports, as well as completing full security vetting (SC)
