Role: HR Assistant
Location: Northampton
Salary: 28,000 per annum
Our client is a leading enterprise in the Brackmills area, who are committed to providing exceptional HR services and promoting a positive work environment.
As an HR Assistant, you will be responsible for various HR administrative tasks, including maintaining accurate HR system data, running reports, and providing first-line guidance on company policies. You will also assist with employee relations, HR KPI reporting, project work, and HR activities to promote our client as an Employer of Choice.
Key Responsibilities:
- Ensure the accuracy of HR system data, including starters, leavers, and ongoing changes
- Generate reports from the HR system (PeopleSoft) as needed
- Provide first-line advice and support on company policies, including absence management, return to work, and payroll queries
- Support employee relations administrative processes, such as disciplinary and grievance procedures
- Contribute to HR monthly tracker, KPIs, and ad hoc reports, analyzing data on gender, nationality, etc.
- Assist HR Business Partner and Events team in communication and delivery of HR initiatives for engagement, volunteering, diversity, and inclusion
- Support annual bonus scheme and merit review process
- Assist in implementing, maintaining, and developing HR systems, processes, policies, and procedures
- Provide support for the annual appraisal process and system (OPR)
- Contribute to HR-related projects as required
- Manage eye care vouchers for all UK sites and oversee the eye care policy
- Maintain the HR shared drive, ensuring up-to-date documents and templates are available
- Handle various HR administrative tasks, including issuing and filing letters, raising purchase orders, processing invoices, and maintaining filing systems
- Take responsibility for the leaver's process, including exit interviews, resignation letters, completing exit forms, and updating the HR system
- Assist with general recruitment coordination, including internal and external adverts, interview arrangements, and promoting the brand.
Required Experience:
- 1-2 years of previous HR Support experience
- CIPD Certificate in Human Resource Practice (CHRP) is desirable but not required
- Experience working for a large US Corporate, multi-national manufacturing, or sales-focused organization would be beneficial
