HR Business Partner 

[Trafford Park, Manchester - 12 month Contract]

You will

As the HR Business Partner (“HRBP”) you will report into the Head of HR for Physical Distribution  – and act as the trusted advisor to the team in Trafford Park whilst taking care of the future development for L’Oréal UKI Physical Distribution.  As part of your role you will be able to quickly build strong relationships with internal managers and employees and be able to think on your feet.

You will always ensure legal security at both individual and collective levels, as well as compliance with HR processes and practices in consultation with managers. 

As the HRBP will be responsible for the recruitment of strong and diverse pipeline of junior talents.  Co-designing operations training plans (the “must-haves”) and deliver operations specific trainings.

The role will ensure a fair and transparent reward policy and practises in conjunction with the other two sites.  You will be involved in both individual and collective payroll revisions and changes (starter, transfer, leaver changes); follow-up on headcount and payroll cost for your remit (budget and trends) and work with the HR Shared Service team to ensure organisational chart and employee data is up to date.

You will be accountable for your HR KPIs and will strengthen and promote L’Oréal's image, as well as its diversity, by ensuring respect for the Group's values and code of ethics

You will outline business challenges in terms of HR issues and projects, anticipate and accompany operational requirements and organisational changes, acting as a business strategic partner

You will lead, drive, and inspire the Trafford team by aligning strategy within the operational team, celebrating, and rewarding great results and driving organisational excellence. 

Within this role as part of the site Mancom (management committee) team you will celebrate and share successes of the site and  deliver continuous feedback to peers. 

You have

    A solution orientated mindset with the ability to work accurately at pace and cope with ambiguity

    Experience working in a unionised environment is desirable

    Relevant experience in an FMCG environment is desirable not essential 

    Previous experience of change management and organisational design 

    Previous experience of recruitment and selection 

    Strong planning and organisational skills – with an ability to appropriately re-prioritise and change to meet deadlines

    Ability to engage and positively influence internal & external stakeholders

    Ability to manage upwards

    Ability to inspire, motivate, coach and develop people

    Previous experience in HR is essential, understanding of HR in a operational setting is desirable 

    Good IT skills with knowledge of MS Office

    CIPD qualified or equivalent desirable, but not essential
