This is a permanent full time office based role working Monday to Thursday 8am-4.30pm and Friday 8am-1.30pm (37.5 hours per week). The HR Business Partner role is offering a salary of 38-41k per annum plus annual bonus and fantastic benefits as below!
As HR Business Partner, you will report into the HR Manager supporting 4 business areas including Production, Planning, Production Engineering and Engineering Services totalling around 130 employees. This is an end to end generalist HR role supporting Line Managers and employees with all aspects of HR. Your main responsibilities will include:
- Supporting the managers with recruitment plans to ensure they recruit the right people in the right jobs at the right time, gaining a full understanding of the job role and the skills and competencies required to design full job descriptions and person specifications
- Liaising with relevant recruitment agencies giving full brief of pre-requisites for the job role
- Shortlisting candidates, arranging and attending interviews, issuing contracts and creating all new starter files including documentation such as qualifications, proof of ID and eligibility to work in the UK
- Creating and conducting induction programmes
- Monitoring new starters during their probationary period and ensuring regular meetings take place and are recorded
- Coaching and guiding managers to improve their competence and confidence in managing ER related matters such as grievances, investigations, disciplinaries, return to work meetings, sickness review meetings, capability meetings, performance management and appraisals
- Proactively analysing data to highlight and hold informative discussions with managers, identifying areas of concern and find solutions in areas such as sickness, absence and performance
- Keeping up to date with employment law and changes in legislation HR Systems
- Submitting regular reports on new starters/leavers/transfers/promotion and retirements, absence, and ER cases
We are really keen to hear from applicants with the following skills and experience:
- Previous experience in an HR Advisor, HR Business Partner or similar level role from within a manufacturing or engineering background is required
- CIPD Level 3 as a minimum, however Level 5 would be beneficial
- Strong working knowledge of employee relations and working with managers to resolve these
- Excellent IT skills including MS Office as well as using HR Systems (iTrent is used here-training will be given)
- Thorough understanding of employment law as well as GDPR compliance
