What the HR Manager job involves

  • Managing the recruitment process within the business from start to finish, including the onboarding process, and working with department managers to enhance their own recruitment for their teams.
  • Reviewing all policies and procedures, contracts, and the employee handbook, updating where appropriate and creating any additional where necessary.
  • Reviewing the performance management, appraisal, grievance, and disciplinary processes, working with managers to make these consistent throughout the business.
  • Design and implement training programs where appropriate.
  • Managing all Sickness and absences, updating HR records accordingly.
  • Stakeholder Management as well as keeping the senior leadership team abreast of legislation changes.

Skills required

  • CIPD Level 5 / Level 7 Qualification or relevant experience within a HR Adviser / HR Manager role.
  • Excellent communication skills both speaking and listening.
  • Confidentiality.
  • A proactive approach to their position.
  • Solutions based HR professional.

Other information

  • The could be a full or part-time position, minimum of 3 or 4 days a week.
  • Full-time would be Monday to Friday 9.00 – 5.30.
  • Flexible employer with some Hybrid / Agile working available.
