We are a small friendly GP practice are looking for a part-time Receptionist and administrator to join our team in The Willows Healthcare Centre.
We are one of the few GP practices who know our patients well and enjoy a friendly and personal relationship with them. We are a nurturing environment with, a team that love to teach and train.
The role would suit someone with some GP reception experience who is a quick learner and wants to develop further. We would also welcome applications from someone new to general practice, but comfortable with a people facing role, who has strong IT skills and is a quick and willing learner. We have medical students in the practice, and we love to grow and train our team.

Hours: 20 hours a week - Monday to Friday.

Salary: £11.44 per hour.

Duties include: (training will be given)

• Setting up patient appointments on the system
• Processing and scanning patient letters
• Processing patient prescriptions
• Chasing referrals
• Processing referrals
• General administrative duties and dealing with patient queries
• Reception cover at front desk and answering phones at times

Experience, skills and attributes required:

• Strong IT skills are essential
• Quick learner
• Previous experience of working in a GP surgery or people facing role (not essential)
• Knowledge of Emis web preferable not essential
• Ability to work in a fast paced and busy environment
• Strong prioritisation skills
• Polite and caring manner
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills
• Compassion and empathy
