Meridian Business Support are currently recruiting a NPD Coordinator experienced within the food industry to join our client’s located in Blackwood area.
As a Technical NPD Coordinator you’ll support operation to help ensure product quality, legality and safety whilst meeting customer specifications within a fast-paced short shelf-life environment. You will also support Production and Technical to ensure that customer product requirements are understood and achieved. You will be responsible for the product journey from concept to launch and ensure it runs smoothly, to agreed timescales and procedures.
What will your key responsibilities as a Technical NPD Coordinator include?
NPD Liaison
Pre-pro, trials and launches factory presence and support.
Responsible for the artwork and labels, pack, print approval.
Launch documentation and facilitate all paperwork for process control, one-page specifications, assembly lessons
Factory and inter-factory specifications, create new QAS and update existing ones.
Participate in Gates and NPD activity meetings.
Product sample management (nutritional, micro, allergens, shelf-life)
Consistency panels
Take part in internal audits.
Support 3rd party audits and customer visits
HACCP/Food Defence team member
To support the implementation of a robust food safety culture on site and quality initiatives
Document control log management
Product Quality QAS – Inspecting product against customer quality contract agreements.
Support technical training
Carry out other technical related duties that may be required.What you’ll need to be successful:
Relevant scientific or food related qualifications. (Degree desirable)
A practical working knowledge of BRC and retailer requirements.
Experience working with major retailers including leading audits.
HACCP and Food safety qualifications.
Internal auditing training.
Basic understanding of microbiology and potential consequences to food safety and quality.
Strong attention to detail.
Ability to communicate effectively with internal and external stakeholders of all levels
