Here at Whitworths, we are on a mission to support the nation in improving its eating habits by adding a little bit of what is good for you to every meal occasion. Our business is growing, and as a result of an internal promotion, we are looking for our next experienced and dynamic Operations Managertoo drive and deliver our balanced scorecard.
You will be an experienced Operations Manager, working in a production facility. There’s not much you’ve not seen or dealt with, so you’re pretty unflappable and know how to deal with just about any situation that arises. This means you can do the day job with your eyes closed – and that means you’ve got the time, the capability and the appetite to help us develop and grow our facility and our people.
Driving continuous improvement is second nature – you look for opportunities in everything you do, and you don’t just think, you act. You get a buzz from developing, coaching and growing the careers of others. You don’t need to worry about getting the t-shirt, yours is well washed, so your focus isn’t on impressing and competing to climb the career ladder. Don’t worry, we’ll take care of your next few rungs – you just need to let your work speak for itself.
You can demonstrate driving improvements across the balance scorecard, you can spot a star at 50 paces and you never go home without knowing you’ve made a real difference. We’ll give you the opportunity to utilise all of these talents daily, but more so, we’ll ask you to impart your wisdom to upskill your team – we want you to create a team that can excel and succeed you.
