Role: Part-time HR Advisor

Sellick Partnership are currently recruiting for an experienced HR advisor to join our local government client on a part-time basis in Kidderminster. This exciting opportunity is ongoing and is ideal for a HR advisor who likes to get stuck into the day-to-day challenges of HR.
Your day-to-day duties as a part-time HR advisor:
- Provide first line HR advisory services regarding employee relations (disciplinary, grievance)
- Support managers across the Council in people management, attending meetings and providing guidance
- Support managers with absence management
- Assist with the updating of HR policies, procedures, and initiatives
- Manage HR information systems for data input and statistical analysis
- Deal with HR queries from staff and managers
- Change management - assisting with restructuring and re-organisation including TUPE
- Recruitment and Selection
- Day to day management of sickness absence, disciplinary and grievance cases
- Act as lead officer advising employees and managers on maternity, paternity, adoption leave and flexible working policies and to process these in line with current legislation and current policies and procedures.
The Ideal part-time HR advisor will have:
- Experience of working in a HR advisory capacity
- Significant case management experience in disciplinary, grievance and effective investigation
- CIPD or equivalent knowledge is essential
The ideal part-time HR advisor will possess these key skills:
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Problem solving skills
- Ability to work to deadlines and prioritising your own workload
- Organised and flexible to respond to customer needs
- Ability to interrogate computer systems and analyse data
