Payroll Assistant

Your new company
Here at Hays we are recruiting a client who is looking for an experienced Payroll Administrator/Assistant to join their payroll team on a 12-month FTC. The client is a large not-for-profit organisation who have a great ambition to help their employees grow their career.
Your new role

• You will ensure that the payroll is accurate and support maintenance.
• Process new starters.
• Deduct tax such as PAYE.
• You will be a first point of contact for internal customers where you will provide payroll support.
• General administration.

What you'll need to succeed

• Previous Payroll experience (essential).
• Really strong working knowledge and understanding of systems, processes and procedures related to payroll.
• Knowledge of PAYE legislation and HMRC requirements.
• Proficient user of Microsoft Office and specialist software or systems relating to the role.
