My client, based in Portsmouth, is an industry-leading human resources and personnel business, offering an exciting opportunity for a Payroll Manager to join during their period of expansion.
Description
Payroll Manager:
- Managing a skilled payroll team of five members, organising regular team meetings, conducting individual sessions, and offering support, coaching, and leadership.
- Supervising the Payroll Administrator's tasks, reviewing their work for adjustments and providing guidance for enhancements.
- Serving as the primary contact for inquiries related to payroll and billing, calculating various elements such as commission, holiday pay, and SSP, and adjusting for new hires and departures.
- Handling the weekly and monthly payroll for both permanent and contract employees, totalling over 1200 time-sheets weekly, and coordinating with HMRC for issue resolution.
- Additionally, manually computing PAYE deductions as necessary.
Profile
Payroll Manager:
- Possess managerial or supervisory experience with teams, along with prior payroll expertise.
- Demonstrate proficiency in system utilization and exhibit exceptional attention to detail.
- While prior experience in contractor payroll is preferred, it's not mandatory.
- Similarly, holding a CIPP qualification is advantageous but not obligatory, as my client offer opportunities for career advancement through enrollment in relevant courses.
