Our client, a well-known and highly regarded business with an ever-expanding customer base, is looking to hire a knowledgeable and confident Payroll Manager to join its team. Supporting the Finance Director and Controller, you'll be supporting multiple workstreams such as managing weekly and monthly payroll, HMRC reporting and ensuring compliance.
There will also be need for support on process improvements and ad hoc projects, where a strong mix of payroll and compliance knowledge is required. The client can also offer a flexible working environment with just 2 days per week required in the office.
Main duties include:
Overall responsibility for the UK payroll and ensure process compliance
Accurate and timely processing of weekly and monthly payroll
Assisting with the preparation of process maps for new systems
Assisting with gender pay reporting, producing reports for senior management and producing monthly variance analysis
Working with HR team to ensure information flow is smooth
Managing pay pension contributions
Ad hoc duties or special projects as required
Managing and developing a small team
Key experience and skills required:
Demonstrable payroll experience in a large company environment, managing payroll for c1000 employees
Good excel skills (pivots, vlookups)
Keen attention to detail and accuracy
Highly organised with the ability to prioritise and complete tasks to meet tight deadlines
Clear initiative and ability to problem solve
Excellent interpersonal skills
