The role
Being a Registered Manager for a Children's Home is highly demanding but a very rewarding role. You will be managing our Children's Homes, between 4-8 children. You will have multi-layers of support, we have a home manager, finance officer, a placements officer, HR manager, as well as a Recruitment Manager. You will manage a team of residential support workers and senior residential support workers, this will be a fantastic opportunity for a manager who enjoys taking ownership of their role, putting the welfare needs of children first and working with a fantastic team by leading and coaching.
Responsibilities
We need applicant's for this role to be focused on safeguarding and working together as a team both internally and externally to achieve the best outcomes for children in our care. Your day-to-day tasks will be varied and fast paced and focused on Ofsted Regulations.
About you
For this role, we do require a few things:
- A Level 5 residential child care qualification or previously level 4 NVQ in residential management or relevant degree such as social work
- 2 years experience as an Ofsted registered Children's Home manager or very similar environment i.e. a Registered Manager under a regulatory body such as Ofsted or CQC
- Excellent leadership and people skills
- Knowledge and understanding of The Children's Homes Regulations and Care Standards
