Children’s Home Registered Manager

I am looking for an enthusiastic Registered Manager to work in a new therapeutic residential children's home in the pretty town of Raunds in Northamptonshire which will be home to two children/young people.
The home is being opened by a new, independent provider and their ethos will focus on understanding and addressing the underlying needs of young people rather than their behaviours and difficulties. The home provides a warm, open and transparent environment in which the children can express their characters, establish their independence and become maturing young people.
In this role you will:
• Have a fundamental role in moulding, driving and developing the children’s home to take it to outstanding
• Lead and manage the home to meet home’s statement of purpose and ethos of the organisation
• Ensure that children and young people have the best possible life chances
• Manage and supervise a staff team
• Have responsibility for care and placement planning
To be successful in this role you will need:
• A Level 5 Diploma in Leadership for Health and Social Care and Children and Young People’s Services (or equivalent)
• Experience as a Registered Manager in a children’s home, or be a capable Deputy looking to step into their next role
• 3 years’ experience working with children in residential care in the last 5 years and at least 1 year at senior level
• A knowledge and understanding of Children’s Home Regulations and Quality Standards 2015, Single Social Care Inspection Framework (SSCIF), Children Act 1989, Children and Families Act 2014, Care Standards Act 2000, Children Act 2004, Working Together to Safeguard Children 2015, Health and Safety at work and associated guidance and regulation
