A new role due to the expansion of the Marketing Team with a Life Sciences organisation in the Greater Chester Area. This exciting opportunity will sit within an established marketing department who work closed with the Sales and Business Development team. The position will support in the development of engaging content through numerous on-line and off-line activities to inform customers and help generate leads. This is mainly a B2B focused position although there may be occasional B2C responsibilities and will be office based.
The successful candidate will manage the digital media platforms and coordinate event attendance and exhibitions. Reporting to the Head of Marketing you be part of a small but highly dynamic team that plays a pivotal role in the continued success of the organisation. You’d be working closely the commercial team to identify key marketing and promotional messages; you’ll engage with the technical team to develop innovative, informative and compelling content that you’ll work in to numerous media formats across a key on-line and office channels. The role would suit an experienced marketeer who has hands on experience across mainly b2b marketing channels. You’ll be looking for a position where you can support the development of the strategic marketing plan as well as creating, managing and delivering content and campaigns. A background working within a scientific or technically orientated product/service proposition would be highly advantageous but is not essential but in which case you must be able to demonstrate an active interest in Life Sciences or Biotechnology.
You’ll be working from the companies brand-new Head Office with lots of on-site benefits. Main responsibilities
- Take ownership of our social media activities, ensuring regular posts and drive online presence
- Keep website up to date, liaising with third parties to maintain SEO ranking
- Organise outbound marketing activities
- Guardian of the brand
- Work with the technical team to develop interesting, informative and promotional content
- Work with commercial team to develop content ideas
- Collaborate with scientific & technical team of support the generation of copy
The experience and skills we are looking for
- 3-5 years of experience in a digital marketing focused role
- Highly organised mindset, able to deliver projects/campaigns on time and within budget.
- Liaise and work with internal & external stakeholders and build relationships
- Proven experience in managing digital media (social media, website etc.) and organisation of events
- A team player but also somebody who is able to work autonomously
- Fluent in English and excellent communication skills
- Proficient with automated digital marketing systems & applications
