SalaryWarrington Borough Council is a unitary authority and one of the few remaining Councils with a municipal bus company. The Specialist Transport Team provide Public Transport, school transport and adult transport across the borough.
The role
Our Specialist Transport Service is offering an exciting opportunity for a highly motivated, enthusiastic and committed person to join our Public Transport Team in the role of Senior Transport Officer.
As a Senior Public Transport Officer, you will have an incredibly varied role. You will be working closely with colleagues in creating and delivering Public Transport services with the goal of maximising the use of sustainable transport services across the Borough and beyond. Other tasks will also include support the day-to-day management and operation of our Bus Interchange to ensure the efficiency of the facility from Bus Operators, Contractors and Bus Users.
What's needed?
The successful candidate will be a committed team player who is organised and dedicated to providing the highest standards of customer service. Excellent communication skills with the ability to liaise effectively and confidently with colleagues, contractors, and stakeholders is essential. The successful candidate will be IT proficient with the ability to be able to prioritise workloads and be able to work flexibly to meet the needs of the service.

Previous experience of working within a local authority passenger transport service is desirable but not essential.
