The successful candidate will play a pivotal role in coordinating equipment breakdown repairs, liaising with customers, and efficiently managing the diaries of a team of skilled engineers.
Position Overview:
As a Service Controller, you will be responsible for handling customer enquiries regarding equipment breakdowns, efficiently allocating service jobs to our team of engineers, and ensuring prompt resolution of issues. This role requires strong organisational and customer service skills, as well as previous experience in managing the work of field service engineers.
Key Responsibilities:
- Receive and manage customer enquiries related to equipment breakdowns.
- Efficiently allocate service jobs to field service engineers based on skillset, location, and urgency.
- Communicate with customers to provide updates on service requests and ensure a high level of customer satisfaction.
- Liaise with engineers to coordinate site visits, ensuring timely and efficient resolution of equipment issues.
- Maintain accurate records of service requests, job allocations, and engineer schedules.
- Collaborate with other departments to optimise service delivery processes.
- Provide excellent customer service, addressing concerns and enquiries professionally.
Qualifications:
- Previous experience in a similar role, preferably in a service or maintenance environment.
- Strong customer service skills with the ability to communicate effectively.
- Experience in coordinating and managing field service engineers.
- Excellent organisational and multitasking abilities.
- Proficient in using service management software and tools.
Requirements:
- Proven track record in managing and coordinating service activities.
- Exceptional interpersonal skills and the ability to build positive relationships with customers and engineers.
- Knowledge of equipment hire/rental sector is advantageous.
