The School and Role
We are currently looking to appoint an enthusiastic and motivated Sports Coach on behalf of Primary Schools based in and around the Bradford area. The Sports Coach role would be due to start in September with the possibility of ad-hoc/flexible, short and long term contracts. The desired Sports Coach will have passion for the subject who will have the responsibility of delivering PE and general cover lessons across EYFS, Key Stage 1 and 2.
The successful Sports Coach will have high expectations of behaviour and attainment and will have the ability to build positive relationships with others.
This role will also help to transfer your skills to the classroom to assist with general cover throughout the school. Training and support will be provided in this area.
*This position could be for a person who is keen to become a teacher and wanting more experience within a Primary School setting. This can work around your personal circumstances, for example alongside your studies, another job or on a full-time basis.
Requirements
The desired Sports Coach will have;
- Have recent experience coaching or teaching Sport/PE
- Ability to relate well to children and adults and communicate effectively at all levels
- Ability to deal effectively with students presenting challenging behaviour using de-escalation techniques as appropriate
- Ability to work independently and as part of a wider team
- Knowledge and experience of behaviour management and restorative strategies
- Experienced and comfortable with personal care
- Having a driving licence is desirable for this role
