Staff Officer

Our client, A Large public sector organisation, based in Belfast is looking for a Staff Officer to join their team.

Duration: 6 months but may be flexibility thereafter

Rate of pay: £17.09

Start Date: ASAP

Hours: Monday to Friday (Flexibility with shifts between 8am-6pm) must add up to 37 hours per week

Location: Belfast

Duties:

To support the branch in assisting DAERA, itsagencies and Non Departmental Public Bodies and intermediary funding bodies tomeet their economic appraisal and post project evaluation requirements; and toassist in providing advice on EA/PPE information seminars in response todemand. The primary responsibility of the vacant post is to quality assurebusiness cases and post project evaluations according to the Better BusinessCases NI guidance and standards.

Essential Criteria:

At least a 2:2 Honours degree or Post-graduatedegree in Economics, Agricultural Economics, Environmental Economics or in asubject where the study of Economics is a major component*.

*Major component is defined as: At least 30% of thecourse covers core economic modules such as Microeconomics, AgriculturalEconomics, Environmental Economics or Quantitative Methods modules.

Experience of quality assuring and/or writingbusiness cases using Better Business Cases NI guidance (equivalent to HMTreasury Better Business Cases guidance) or the Northern Ireland Guide to Expenditure Appraisaland Evaluation (NIGEAE)
