Your New Role
Are you passionate about accounts and eager to advance your career? Join our team in Grange House, Belfast, and play a crucial role in supporting our finance team within the Marine department. You will contribute to both day-to-day operations and monthly tasks, gaining valuable experience in a dynamic and global environment.
What You Can Expect from the Role
Key Responsibilities and accountabilities:
- Manage all aspects of supplier invoice entries and ensure accurate postings in IFS.
- Generate GRNI (Goods Received Not Invoiced) report for Supply Chain, collaborating to ensure timely recording of AP invoices.
- Process staff claims in accordance with company policy, making bi-monthly payments within stipulated timelines.
- Ensure timely payments to suppliers as per agreements but not before the due date.
- Handle intercompany transactions and reconcile them based on Group and APAC financial reporting deadlines.
- Maintain monthly bank reconciliations.
- Reconcile supplier statements on a monthly basis.
- File payments, invoices, staff claims, and supplier statements of accounts monthly for audit records and document administration.
- Prepare balance sheet schedules and other relevant finance and ad-hoc reports.
- Participate in stock counts and stock reconciliations.
- Assist in annual fixed assets count.
- Contribute to budgeting, forecasting, year-end audits, and annual tax submissions.
- Collaborate with internal parties such as the operations team, internal and external auditors, etc.
- Assist in corporate secretarial administrative work, such as obtaining signatories as needed.
- Propose and implement improvements to current processes related to both invoice issues and payments.
- Undertake other projects or tasks as assigned.
The Experience, Qualifications and Skills You Will Have
Essential Criteria:
- Diploma in accountancy or equivalent qualification.
- Proactive, collaborative team player, mature, and capable of working independently.
- Computer literacy
