Are you a dedicated KS2 teacher who believes in fostering values such as Respect, Courage, Compassion and Friendship?  Do you aspire to inspire young minds to reach their fullest potential?  If so, we want you to be a part of our dynamic team!

Due to one of our much-loved teachers moving on to pastures new since being with us as an ECT, we are seeking an excellent and dedicated teacher.  You need to be enthusiastic, energetic and have the ability to work dynamically with the whole team to help drive our happy and successful school on its journey.  We are looking for someone who is naturally positive with a ‘can do’ attitude and genuinely passionate about education.

As a member of our team, you will play a pivotal role in helping children become the best versions of themselves.  We prioritise not only academic success but also the holistic development of our pupils.  From nurturing their happiness and identity to supporting their social, emotional, and physical well-being, we believe in equipping children with the skills they need to thrive in all aspects of life.

Whether you are embarking on your teaching career or aspiring to be a leader, this could be the perfect position for you!

The role is for Key Stage 2.  At Nightingale we follow the Read, Write, Inc. Phonics programme, Sounds & Syllables programme and Kinetic Letters Handwriting programme.  There will be lots of training available for the right candidate.

If you share our passion for education and our commitment to creating a supportive and inclusive learning environment, we invite you to join us in our mission to cultivate good friends, deep thinkers, and morally responsible citizens.

Apply now to become a part of our vibrant community at Nightingale Primary School and make a positive difference in the lives of our pupils!

Our School is:

  • ‘good’ at its last inspection, with many areas of strength identified;
  • a great place to work, genuinely welcoming and friendly;
  • a flourishing and diverse community;
  • well-equipped with modern and modernised buildings backing onto a large sports and recreation field with a woodland area and gardening area;
  • coming to the end of a 2.5 million rebuild;
  • a school that has a 3-year trend of achieving high attainment at the end of EYFS;
  • doing great things with the curriculum so offers a firm base for excellence;
  • sociable;
  • calm;
  • ambitious

 We offer:

  • 397 friendly, hardworking and keen to learn children;
  • high quality, focussed CPD;
  • positive and committed senior leaders with a wealth of experience;
  • an exciting ‘next step’ in your professional development; you do not have to be the finished article;
  • a school dog called Buddy;
  • a very successful track record for ECTs;
  • the backing of an excellent teaching team committed to self-improvement;
  • a strong support team with a wealth of experience in leading effective interventions handpicked by our school;
  • teacher handbooks for our core subjects so you know how to plan NPS successful learning;
  • a well thought through curriculum with sequential concepts, knowledge and skills;
  • wellbeing and self-care training
  • the support of positive parents and committed governors;
  • a thriving community on the outskirts of Eastleigh just off the M27;
  • the chance to achieve something exceptional.

You will be:

  • a naturally positive empathetic communicator;
  • great at building relationships;
  • a knowledgeable and skilled educator who is able to nurture happiness and cognitive and academic success in children;
  • keen for subject leadership;
  • keen to explore new teaching methods including harnessing proven and recognised innovations;
  • a great reader both for pleasure and to further your professional repertoire;
  • reliable and dependable;
  • amazing with children

School visits before application are encouraged and warmly welcomed.  Hannah Beckett, Headteacher, or one of our Senior Leaders would be delighted to give you a tour.  Please call or email the School Office for an appointment: 023 80613588.
