Credit Controller

Job Title - Credit Controller Department - Finance Salary - £25,000 - £32,000 (DOE) Location - Shoreham by Sea / Hybrid Established in 2003, we're proud to be one of the UK's leading independent providers of essential business technology. Our Credit Control team (10 people) is accountable for ensuring efficient and effective collections and are responsible for dealing with incoming billing queries as they arise. We are looking for an additional Credit Controller to join in a busy and varied role, delivering exceptional customer service to Focus Group Customers. You will be a self-starter who can drive cash collection and influence customers and internal colleagues. Principal Responsibilities/Duties Managing part of a large ledger of over 4000 accounts Building a rapport and liaising with clients regarding outstanding payments and agree a deadline in accordance with the time frames set Identifying and analysing root causes for delays in collections of debt Responsible for requesting restriction of services and deicide weather to start legal action Reconciliations Negotiating payment plans with customers Promptly logging client queries and assigning them to the relevant department Answering queries directly where possible Requirements Essential Skills Credit control experience Excellent communication, customer service and interpersonal skills Excellent telephone manner Able to demonstrate excellent attention to detail Strong critical thinking and decision-making skills Ability to listen to customers and negotiate winning solutions Calm, confident manner to handle potentially uncomfortable conversations Desired Skills Telco industry experience Experience within an Accounts Receivable department At Focus Group you can be proud of what you do, how you do it and feel a true part of the team.
