Robertson Bell are excited to be partnering with this fantastic Multi-Academy-Trust which is rated Outstanding based in Barking, as they recruit a permanent Head of Finance for their team. This is an exciting role for someone who is looking to take on a new challenge and is confident in producing and maintaining accurate accounts.

The key responsibilities of the Head of Finance position include:

• Play a critical role in the preparation of the financial statements, with the view of taking a greater level of responsibility for them as you progress.
• Business partner with a range of budget holders across the seniority spectrum, challenging spends against budgets and providing analysis and advice as required.
• Provide guidance and leadership to a small team of Finance professional, giving them opportunities to develop and enhance performance.
• Produce the monthly management accounts in a timely fashion and lead on all things financial planning.
• Working with all areas within the organisation to develop their financial management & reporting capability.

This is an exciting opportunity for an accountant with ambition to take the next step in their career or help drive a business partnering culture through the trust. Due to the role being based with a Multi-Academy-Trust the Head of Finance post will require you to be in the office five days a week.

The successful Head of Finance will be:

• A fully qualified accountancy professional (ACA/ACCA/CIMA etc).
• Ideally, a background working in the education or charity sector, but this is by no means essential.
• Experience working in a finance role at a similar level.
• Excellent Excel skills.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.  
• Be able to learn things quickly and be willing to get involved where necessary.
