HR Coordinator
Location: Biopure - Havant (Hybrid)

This role will focus on:

BioPure is part of the Watson-Marlow Fluid Technology Solutions which is encompassed by Spirax Group, a FTSE 100 company. We are an award-winning leader in fluid management technology. For over 60 years we have engineered components and systems for customers in a wide range of markets from the pharmaceutical to the environmental industries.

As a HR Coordinator, you will play a pivotal role in supporting various human resource functions within the organisation. Reporting to the Senior HR Advisor, you will be responsible for assisting with the full colleague lifecycle. You will actively collaborate with all departments to ensure seamless coordination and execution of HR initiatives including supporting managers through management investigations and ensuring fair and consistent resolution of colleague-related issues aligned to our core values.

Key Accountabilities Include:

  • You will maintain accurate and up-to-date colleague records, including personnel files, HR databases, and organisational charts.
  • Act as a first point of contact for our managers and colleagues on HR related queries, escalating issues to the Senior HR Advisor where appropriate.
  • Provide effective advice and guidance to managers throughout the full employee lifecycle (e.g. employee relations cases such as sickness absence, probation, flexible working requests, maternity, retirement, inclusion commitments) in line with company policies, procedures and employment law.
  • You will collaborate with managers to initiate and conduct investigations related to sickness absence, grievances, and disciplinary matters.
  • You will develop and prepare HR paperwork, such as variation to contract letters, formal meeting invitations and outcome letters and communication to colleagues throughout organisational restructure processes and employee relations cases.
  • You will ensure timely and accurate entry of HR data into the payroll system, including wages, benefits, overtime, deductions, and other relevant information.
  • Assist with HR projects and initiatives, such as performance management, employee engagement surveys, and training programs.
  • Generate HR reports and metrics to track key performance indicators and identify areas for improvement.
  • You will collaborate with hiring managers to facilitate the induction process for new colleagues, co-ordinating the creation of contracts of employment and ensuring all necessary access, equipment and resources are put in place for the new starter.
  • Support the health and wellbeing of colleagues through the provision of initiatives, promotion and use of the Employee Assistance Programme and Occupational Health
  • You will support the production and delivery of a training plan, including co-ordination of third-party suppliers and involvement in the delivery of in-house workshops.
  • You will collaborate with hiring managers to prepare for interviews by reviewing job descriptions, coordinating interview logistics, and will support the interview process by co-interviewing suitable candidates alongside the hiring manager.


To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • You will have demonstratable generalist HR experience in a multi-disciplined operational organisation.
  • Ideally you will be working towards or have obtained the Level 3 CIPD (Chartered Institute of Personnel and Development).
  • Excellent communication skills, both verbally and in writing.
  • You will have a strong ability to actively listen, empathise, and build rapport with individuals at all levels of the organisation.
  • Excellent MS Office especially gathering and manipulation of data in Excel.
  • Any experience of working with time and attendance systems is advantageous although this is not essential.
  • You will have effective time management with the ability to prioritise tasks and workload productively to ensure you meet required deadlines.
  • You will have a high level of personal integrity with the ability to display respect and empathy for others, fostering a culture of mutual respect and understanding with all colleagues.
