NXTGEN are supporting a market leading group in their search for an HR & People Advisor to take on a new role which will play a key role in achieving site based HR strategy objectives. This is a high profile and visible site based role with an expectation to be in the office 3 or 4 days a week, to give the successful candidate best possible opportunities to build strong internal networks but also drive talent and skills development with departmental heads. As HR & People Advisor you will take on this true generalist role, shaping company culture and ensuring employees are engaged and thrive. You will champion organisational vision and values, creating a collaborative and high performing environment with managers and senior leaders. The HR & People Advisor will also work with department leads to understand Talent and Succession planning, ensuring that employees are presented with opportunities for key skills development and role progression at the appropriate time. This is a fantastic role for those who want to be part of a high performing business with people at the core of everything they do.
Key responsibilities in the role will include:
- Support continuous skills development at all levels within the business
- Design and deliver short and long term talent and training plans with managers, ensuring succession plans are in place for teams
- Design and roll out quarterly engagement surveys, identifying appropriate solutions and strategies dependant on survey outcomes
- Provide manager and employee guidance on employment law issues as required
- Support with ad hoc HR change management projects.
The successful candidate will ideally hold a relevant HR qualification or will be able to demonstrate experience in a similar role. Given the operational nature of this business, experience gained within a Manufacturing or Production environment would be significantly advantageous combined with experience working with operational and commercial teams. The role will initially require the successful candidate to spend up to 4 days a week in the office with this potentially reducing to 3 days over time so candidates will need to be comfortable with this commitment. Whilst there's a wider HR and People team, the successful candidate will be expected to work independent and autonomously.
