About the Job:
Responsible for assisting in managing processes to ensure the finance systems are running effectively and adequately controlled.
Key Information:
- Hourly Pay Rate: £23.93 PAYE or £29.23 Umbrella
- Hours: Full time 35 hours per week, Mon-Friday
- Contract Length: 3 months (View to extend)
- Location: Southwark/London Bridge (Hybrid working, 2-3 days in the office each week)
- Start Date: ASAP
- Client: London Fire Brigade
- Finance Applications – manage the access requirements to the finance applications either through the core system or requesting/removing access through the IT Service Desk.
- Investigate and monitor system jobs, investigate failures, and rectify problems promptly to minimise disruption to the finance system processing. Documenting and reporting system faults to the appropriate level where necessary and following up on outcomes.
- Maintain the FINANCE SYSTEMS mailbox and ensure the audit trail of system change requests is maintained.
- To provide effective maintenance and control of the Brigade’s Finance Systems including the core ledger system: Accounts Payable (AP), Accounts Receivable (AR), General Ledger (GL) Common Services (CS), Master Security (MS) and Purchase Ledger (PO) and finance applications:
Skills, Experience and Knowledge
- Proven experience in systems administration and support for within a large organisation.
- Experience in implementing or upgrading systems, including coordinating testing plans and analysing results.
- Ability to analyse stakeholder data and reporting requirements to provide effective solutions.
- Experience in providing system access, training, documentation, issue resolution, and process improvements for finance systems.
- Capable of organising, planning, and prioritising work independently to meet deadlines and targets.
