Reed HR are pleased to partner with a leading Newbury based financial services organisation, in the recruitment of a Part-Time HR Manager, to support the growing business. Currently a small organisation in terms of staff numbers, they have significant growth plans, and seek a HR Manager to support them through this exciting period, on a permanent basis.
This position can be offered on a part-time basis, up to around 25 hours per week, these days can be worked flexibly
As the HR Manager for this organisation, you will play a key part within the Leadership Team, managing all HR processes from beginning to end. You will work closely with the CEO and Directors, ensuring all HR matters are dealt with in an effective manner.
As the HR Manager you will be responsible for the following:
- Managing and implementing all HR related policies and procedures, ensuring an effective HR service is offered to all managers and employees
- Development and maintenance of an employee lifecycle program, including but not limited to onboarding and induction, personal development plans, annual training plans
- Manage the end-to-end recruitment process
- Maintain & manage company policies & HR documentation
- Managing HR processes such as disciplinaries and grievances, wellbeing and mental health support
- Provide support to all areas of the business with a particular focus on employee relations and supporting performance management
- Provide up-to-date and accurate employment law advice and HR best practice
- Provide advice and guidance to senior leadership, utilising HR data to enhance management understanding and decision making
- Proactively managing external supplier relationships
- Be a team player who shares work experiences for the benefit of learning and service improvement
- Managing TUPE processes where necessary
- Responsible for keeping accurate staff records
- Deliver HR workshops
Skills and experience required:
- Significant experience in managing HR processes within a SME environment
- Thorough knowledge of UK employment law both in theory and practice
- CIPD Qualification would be preferred
- High level of integrity, first class communication skills, always working with confidentiality and discretion
- Financial services experience is highly desirable, however not essential
Our client are working on a mostly remote basis currently, although you will be required to attend the offices as and when needed, which are based in Newbury, West Berkshire. It is therefore essential that you live within an easily commutable distance to Newbury.
