ROLE OVERVIEW:

As the People Partner you will work closely with our Head of People (HOP) to deliver a first-class People strategy that serves the needs of our teams and ambitions of our business.

You will quickly establish effective working relationships with our line managers, acting as a trusted advisor and supporting them with a wide range of people related policies and procedures.

This is a newly created role, and a unique opportunity to join a growing and ambitious People team where you will gain a rare insight into strategy building and be given the opportunity to lead on projects that will really help you make your mark! You will be instrumental in establishing People best practice whilst developing and nurturing company culture and helping to embed our people-led values.


KEY ROLES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

·      Be a trusted business partner, providing managers with advice and guidance on a wide variety of people related matters.

·      Work with the HOP to ensure line managers are equipped with the knowledge and skills to confidently manage their own day-to-day people-related challenges, providing support where required, providing first-line support and advice to managers on day-to-day people-related issues. This includes employee relations and performance management cases.

·      Help embed initiatives that support our commitment to creating a diverse, fair and inclusive workplace.

·      Oversee the day-to-day management of the HRIS, supporting the wider team and business with its use, and ensuring it is used to its full potential when it comes to performance, data, and reporting.

·      Support the entire employee lifecycle by helping managers find, hire, and retain quality candidates, and ensuring recruitment, onboarding, induction, and offboarding processes are being followed.

·      Report and feedback on the success of our talent review process, from probation reviews and job chats through to career management.

·      Support the development of our workforce engagement strategy, and then help deliver and oversee it.

·      Support the administration of hourly payroll.

·      Help to maintain and update relevant People related policies and procedures.

·      Be a confident team player who enjoys taking a hands on approach to supporting and developing People, to support a cohesive approach to the entire People experience.


ABOUT YOU:

·      A love for all things people with a desire to learn more and develop further into a well-rounded generalist.

·      Extensive generalist HR experience and knowledge, ideally gained within the live entertainment, hospitality or retail sector.

·      Excellent knowledge of UK employment legislation and best practice.

·      Experience supporting line managers with ER issues, including investigations, grievances and disciplinary procedures.

·      Confidence in maintaining and updating people related policies and benefits, with a finger on the pulse of new practices and ways of working.

·      Experience supporting engagement and communication strategies.

·      A collaborative approach to work, ready to connect your work with the wider people strategy around DEI, culture, values, and the commercial business plan.

·      An appetite to work in a fast-paced and evolving environment with the ability to juggle multiple priorities.

·      A positive mindset with a can-do attitude and a keen eye for detail and problem-solving.

·      First-class communication skills with the ability to quickly establish credibility and respect, and build strong working relationships with a wide variety of stakeholders.


DESIRABLE BUT NOT ESSENTIAL:

·      Experience working as part of a small team and/or within a startup environment.

·      Experience running payroll hourly paid staff.

·      A CIPD qualification.
