As a key member of the Pricing team, the Pricing Development Manager will play a crucial role in shaping the strategy and roadmap for pricing and promotions. In this role, you’ll actively contribute to the ideation, development and delivery of new tools and insights to help our colleagues make the right pricing decisions. Collaborating closely with internal stakeholders across commercial, tech and data and external partners, you’ll play a key role in translating customer data and market insights into actionable strategies. You’ll focus on projects that will improve our price perception, attract new customers and ensure our colleagues have the best tools and robust insight to support fast decision making.
Lead the development of our pricing capability:
Keep up to date with technology advancements and pricing software providers- Establish relationships and communication channels with the Commercial teams to identify pain points and opportunities to improve the pricing process
- Lead the definition of business requirements for pricing and promotions and prioritisation of delivery, focussing on unlocking business value
- Lead the implementation of new pricing software at Currys
- Identify change impacts and sign off on new/revised processes
- Support in securing ongoing investment in Price
- Drive the delivery of the transformation agenda in collaboration with internal and external stakeholders.
- Foster collaboration between Data Science and Commercial teams to ensure a smooth delivery system for the pricing team
- Project manage streams of work and monitor ongoing project delivery using Agile principles
- Identify and pitch price and promotions projects that drive positive commercial outcomes
- Provide thought leadership in interpretation of trials and prepare clear actionable recommendations
- Develop and productionise new reports to support base and promotional pricing
Required Skills & Experience:
Data experience to be able to determine the high level solution and recommendation to stakeholders needs- Backlog and delivery value ROI refinement
- Networking and relationship development
- Ability to analyse complex problems and deliver insightful and practical solutions
- Ability to communicate those insights in a clear, concise manner both verbal and in writing
- Exquisite attention to detail to ensure zero defect in analysis
- Self-starter with initiative, drive and tenacity
- Ability to manage multiple resources to a tight project deadline
