Venesky-Brown's client, a public sector organisation in Glasgow, is currently looking to recruit a 2 x Receptionists for 6 week contracts, on a rate of £11.21 per hour PAYE. The working hours are 35 hours per week. This role will be based onsite. Responsibilities:- Answer telephone, screen and direct calls. - Take and relay messages. - Provide information to callers. - Greet persons entering organisation. - Direct persons to correct destination. - Deal with queries from the public and customers. - Ensure knowledge of staff movements. - Ensure knowledge of events, School procedures and School timetable. - Maintain records of emergency contact numbers. - Be responsible for evacuation of the area during an emergency. - Give First Aid treatment. - Assist with front of house security and deliveries. - Maintain personal knowledge by training. - Keep reception area neat, tidy and presentable. - Dealing with members of the public/students/staff. - Fulfil all reasonable requests to ensure efficient service, customer satisfaction and safety. - Prioritising calls/visitors/deliveries. Essential Skills:- Reception experience is essential - Must be able to demonstrate substantial experience in a multi-disciplined organisation, preferably, but not essentially, in a higher/further education institution or similar organisation - Should appreciate what a customer focused service implies and be able to consolidate such a service within the School - Broad experience of premises and accommodation facility provision will be more useful than narrow specialisation - Knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite - Good standard of general education - Ability to operate a variety of communication and security systems. - Able to communicate at all levels - Good listening skills - Ability to prioritise workload - Keyboard skills - Confident in following emergency procedures - Work as part of a team or on own - Able to use own initiative. - Tactful and diplomatic - Flexible approach - Able to deal with the public in a friendly and efficient manner - Remain polite at all times. - Ability to deal with potentially difficult, distressing, lengthy calls and enquiries.
