SalaryITERARTE is looking for a creative and motivated Digital Content Editor to research, plan, develop and implement our web content. Your main goal will be to produce creative web content that attracts an audience.The ideal candidate will have at least three years' experience of writing (in arts and culture) and editing content with accuracy and speed. An ability to write well is essential as is working well to deadlines and under pressure.
Duties and responsibilities:
Digital Editor requirements and qualifications
- Previous working experience as a Digital Editor for 3 years
- Ability to work well under pressure and to tight deadlines, with excellent organisational skills
- Excellent analytical writing skills, with accurate grammar
- Excellent proofreading, editing and copywriting skills
- Available portfolio of published work
- Good general knowledge of Art and Culture (also of the region covered by ITERARTE)
- Following and maintaining editorial standards according to style guide (standard)
- Experience of using CMS software to write, edit and post articles online
- Excellent interpersonal skills, to deal effectively with colleagues and correspondents
- Experience using social media for business
- Understanding of journalistic norms, ethics and professional practice
- Good working knowledge of InDesign and basic Photoshop skills preferred but not essential
- Knowledge of best SEO practices, Marketing and SEO tools
- Attention to detail
- Critical and creative thinker and problem-solving skills
- Degree in english, journalism, communications or similar relevant field
