What does the role of Service Assistant involve?
- Providing clerical and operational assistance. This may include dealing with face to face queries and calls, processing invoices, and working across different systems.
- Working alongside our existing volunteers and staff, providing outstanding customer service when interacting with service users in person, on the phone, and online.
- Ensuring that the delivery service, stock control and other administrative systems meet the needs of the service and maintain smooth and efficient operations.
What does it take to be a successful Service Assistant?
- You have sound working knowledge of Microsoft Office and have the confidence and ability to learn new software and databases.
- You have excellent communication and customer service skills and you are at ease handling financial transactions.
- You are confident dealing with queries from customers, hospitals and referring agencies in a positive and professional manner.
- You have great organisational skills and can prioritise tasks and manage your workload in a busy environment.
