This role would be particularly suited to a Newly Qualified Accountant looking for a move into-industry or a Part-Qualified Accountant looking for the next step in their career journey with study support.
Your new role
Reporting to the Financial Controller, the Management Accountant will be responsible for the preparation of monthly management accounts and to assist in improving and enhancing the business through proactive involvement in all aspects of business analysis through to financial reporting.
Key Responsibilities Include:
- Assisting with preparation of Monthly Management Accounts to month end time schedules;
- Providing business analysis to management to enhance decision making process ;
- Liaising with Credit Control to ensure cash and debt KPIs are met;
- Liaising with Accounts Payable to assist with supplier management;
- Reporting and managing working capital levels;
- Enhancing financial reporting procedures to improve efficiency of the department;
- Assisting with other ad hoc projects / finance duties;
- Provide a high level of customer service to internal and external parties; and
- Budgeting and cash flow reporting.
What you\'ll need to succeed
- Part Qualified Accountant (ACA, ACCA, CIMA)
- Minimum 4 years working experience in a busy office environment
- Strong IT literacy, including proficient use Microsoft Word, Excel and an ERP system
- Excellent organisational skills and the ability to prioritise own workload
- Excellent attention to detail
- To be highly organised with good planning and time-management skills.
- Capacity to work independently with limited supervision
- Good communication skills, both written and verbal with good presentation and interpersonal skills
- To be flexible and work as part of a team
- Able to work under pressure and meet deadlines
- Highly proactive and positive with a ‘can do’ attitude
- Must be very ‘hands on’
