Contract Type: Full time, Permanent (Hours: 08.30 – 16.30)*
Salary: £23,150 to £23,893pa FTE
(Actual pro rata for 39 weeks £19,886 - £20,524) dependent upon experience
About the Role:
Lighthouse School Leeds is a ‘Good’ school with aspirations to be ‘Outstanding’ in the near future. We are a happy and vibrant community, where young autistic people learn, flourish and thrive. Currently, we have 90 students on roll aged 11 to 19 years. Students study a range KS3, Level 1/2 and Level 3 qualifications, including BTECs and GCSEs.
We seek to appoint committed and enthusiastic Teaching Assistants who have a passion to help young people with a diagnosis of autism, and who can assist with the planning and preparation of activities under the direction of lead teaching staff. Due to the complex needs of the students, the role includes supporting personal care and supporting students who may be displaying behaviour which challenges. You will join a team who contribute to the development and implementation of the specific individualised interventions which support progress in learning and enable students to access their next steps.
