We are currently recruiting for AO’s based in Belfast city centre . The successful candidates will be required to start once the vetting paperwork and ANI completed.
Start date: 27th March
Duration: 51 weeks with possible extension
Hours of work: Full time 37 Hours per week
Rate of pay: £11.99 ( will go up to £12.36 in April )
Key Responsibilities:
* Take ownership, action and case manage all activities (“To-Dos” and journal) within the UC Claim such as change of circumstances, payment deductions and all associated administrative functions for your caseload, which includes handling telephony and notifying colleagues where appropriate.
* Put in place and maintain Northern Ireland Payment Flexibilities where necessary.
* Assist and coach claimants in creating and maintaining their online claims
* Manage payments accurately in each assessment period, action returned payments, stop issued payments which have not yet been paid, replace 5 payments where necessary and process the payments of arrears / underpayments.
* Maintain the security and integrity of claimant information through appropriate use of IT, adherence with identity verification, Data Sharing processes and system security protocols.
* The training course for new staff will run from the 08/04/2024 to 30/04/2024, Full attendance is required during this period
* Consolidation period will then run from 01/05/2024 to 17/05/2024. Full attendance is required during this period.
Sickness/Absence:
Due to the nature of the training, full attendance is important during the training period, noncompliance may lead to your assignment being ended early. Emergency leave will be considered on a case-by-case bases.
This is a long-term assignment, successful candidates will remain office based for the first 6 months of the assignment, the option to work from home may become available after 6 months and depending on performance.
Essential Criteria applicants must have:
- five GCSE/GCE passes (at A, B or C) with Maths and English.

- Excellent IT skills, including use of Microsoft Word and Excel.
- Excellent communication skills.
- Proven ability to use own initiative.
