The Inch Cape Wind Farm, currently in late-stage development, will see up to 72 turbines located 15km off the Angus Coast and will be one of Scotland’s largest single sources of renewable energy, powering up to 1 million homes with clean electricity. Owned by Inch Cape Offshore Limited, the project is an equal joint venture between Red Rock Power Limited and ESB.
We are currently looking for a Finance Officer to work in Offshore Wind, providing accurate reporting and variance analysis on a monthly basis. The Finance Officer role is primary a source of week-to-week financial information for the project.

- Assist in day-to-day accounting duties for the Inch Cape Group of companies.
- Assist in the management of all aspects of general ledger, purchase, and sales ledger functions for the area of responsibility, including cash management, management of payments to suppliers and liaison with the banks.
- Liaison with project teams in relation to cost tracking, expenditure approval, budgets, and reporting.
- Preparation of monthly reports, including Balance Sheet and Profit or Loss analysis, Management Accounts and Cash Flow Forecasts. Ensure timely reporting of financial information to the Financial Controller.
- Provide timely information to aid key decision-making within the station and support ad-hoc project analysis.
- Assist in the year-end statutory audit procedures and preparation of statutory accounts.
- Liaison with SAP technical team in relation to the system’s maintenance
- Assistance with tax-related matters including preparation of VAT returns.
- Assist in the management of loan and interest schedule for the Project Company.
Knowledge, Skills, and Experience
Essential
• At least 5 years relevant work experience
- Strong team player with the ability to work and share knowledge within a team structure.
- Proven experience of managing internal stakeholders.
- Excellent oral and written communication skills.
- Strong relationship building and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to prepare professional reports.
- Good knowledge/understanding of International Accounting Standards.
- Strong IT/systems experience and capability.
- Good analytic skills.
- A flexible self-starter with ability to work from own initiative and take ownership of work.
- Strong time management and work prioritization skills with the ability to meet deadlines.
Desirable
• Off/Onshore windfarm experience.
- Strong SAP skills
Qualifications
Essential
• 3rd Level qualification or equivalent work experience.
- Working towards a professional accounting qualification
