Title - Project Quantity Surveyor
Contract Type - Permanent Full time
Office Location - West Ham Lane, Stratford London or Sale Point Greater Manchester
Persona - Agile (a mix of office, homeworking and site)
Salary - £51,910 - £65,000 depending on experience

L&Q are looking for a proven Commercial Professional with extensive Quantity Surveying experience to join the Property Services Commercial team on a permanent basis. Our Project Quantity Surveyors have up to 3 direct reports and the role reports to the Managing Quantity Surveyor.
The Project Quantity Surveyor are responsible for the financial and contractual administration of projects carried out by L&Q, ensuring that general quantity surveying duties are performed to the highest standard and ensuring full contractual and monetary entitlement in the most advantageous terms L&Q. Plus will be accountable for savings on projects.
The post holder will take full ownership of the project and workstream to ensure all costs and required contracts are in place.
You will be confident in supporting operational colleagues and all other relevant colleagues to ensure that all significant project issues and correspondence and all necessary contractual processes have been observed.
You will be able to take control of the management of subcontractors and suppliers to always achieve best value to a programme whilst protecting the business contractually and providing accurate financial forecasting.
The postholder will have experience and knowledge on:
· Providing mitigation strategies for immediate implementation of all matters relating to contract and subcontract for review by Managing Quantity Surveyor or Head of Commercial.
· Managing budgetary constraints using forensic cost control techniques
· Strong analytical skills and will be highly numerate with data interrogation skills
· Experience of managing principal and subcontractor arrangements
· Be confident in managing poor performance
· You will have a good understanding of Cost value reconciliation for a workstream
· Commercial Awareness with good legal/contractual knowledge
· Competent in use of standard methods of measurement
· Degree or HNC level in a related discipline or equivalent substantial experience
It is desirable to for candidates to be professionally qualified member of CIOB/RICS but not essential.
We are a multi-site organisation, so some roles may require occasional travel between offices, but expenses will be covered.
