Shaare Hayim Congregation is a Charity (CRN 1067759) that owns and operates two Synagogues, one in Hale Barns where this position is located and one in Didsbury.
We are now seeking a professional and experienced Administrator to carry out the administrative and bookkeeping roles.
To be considered for this opportunity you will need to have the following skills and experience:
- Excellent Microsoft 365 Skills, in particular Excel and Word
- Good telephone manner and excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Property maintenance experience would be an advantage
- Bookkeeping skill would be an advantage
Duties & Responsibilities
Varied role dealing with:
· Membership, subscriptions and payment of fees
· email communications
· payments in and out
· 6 staff including payroll
· Banking
· Property maintenance and record keeping
· Managing diary and logistics for events & hire of synagogue
· Working closely with congregational Rabbi, paid caretaker and voluntary management team - Chairman, Vice Chairman and Treasurer
· Managing the office and day to day enquiries

· A pleasant manner
Hours of works 8:30am - 4:30pm Monday to Thursday with one hour for lunch
8:30am - 1:30pm on Friday no lunch break

Salary: £30,000.00 per year
